The Highest Paid Hip-Hop Artists of 2013

Forbes has now released a “Cash Kings list,” ranking the highest paid hip-hop artists of 2013. The list, comprised of June 2012 to June 2013 earnings, is based off of data from Pollstar, the RIAA, Nielsen SoundScan, interviews, managers, lawyers, record executives and some of the artists themselves. According to Forbes the artists earnings include, “income from touring, record sales, publishing, merchandise sales, endorsements and other ventures.”

Topping of the list with $50 million in entrepreneurial earnings is Diddy, with his own record label Bad Boy, Sean Jean clothing line, soon to be cable channel Revolt and biggest earner Ciroc vodka. Coming in at number two is Jay-Z with $42 million, and Dr. Dre ($40 million), Nicki Minaj ($29 million), and Birdman ($21 million) rounding out the list of top five earners.
