Beyonce Holds Moment of Silence for Trayvon Martin

Beyonce was on stage Saturday night when she received the news regarding George Zimmerman’s acquittal in the shooting killing of unarmed Floridian teen Trayvon Martin. Celebrities, in particular musicians, have been very vocal in their support for Trayvon Martin and his family. Young Jeezy released “It’s a Cold World” while Wyclef delivered the video for “If You’re 17.″ Yesterday Beyonce’s younger sister Solange led a peaceful rally in Brooklyn.

Beyonce stopped her Mrs. Carter Show World Tour performance in Nashville, Tennessee to have a moment a silence for the slain 17-year-old before singing a tribute in his honor. Following the moment she sang the chorus of “I Will Always Love You,” before transitioning into “Halo.” Watch Beyonce’s tribute below.
