The Summer mindset might be ending for those of you with day jobs and higher ed responsibilities. Bummer, right? There are some amazing shows this week to help you celebrate the summer/mourn post-Labor Day. Start the week off at Glasslands to check out experimental pop group Braids. Feeling nostalgic? Check out 90′s alt-rock dude Matthew Sweet at City Winery. On Wednesday, head out to East River Park to catch a FREE performance by Mac DeMarco or to Central Park to catch R&B songstress Emeli Sande. Thursday includes another free show with Delorean at House of Vans. To start the weekend, check out Bat for Lashes at Webster Hall. And to cap off the summer, head to Randall’s Island to experience Electric Zoo - arguably the East Coast’s finest EDM festival.
