Even in the pouring rain Pier 26 at Hudson River Park was crammed with fans patiently waiting for Fun. to set up their incredibly elaborate stage. Opening for Fun. was Canadian twin sister act Tegan and Sara who are superstars in their own right. However, on this occasion, there was no question that the night belonged to Fun.

Tegan and Sara kicked off their set with a bunch of songs off their latest release, Heartthrob while mixing in some crowd favorites along the way. Their set reminded everyone why they’ve received multiple Juno Award nominations.

As one of the biggest pop sensations to come out this decade it was clear fans hold Fun. close to their hearts. The excitement was palpable as they finally took the stage and peaked when they played their Grammy Award winning song “We Are Young.” They went on to call the night the best concert they have ever played and by witnessing the fans reaction it seemed that the feeling was mutual.

Highlights

-The insane rain fall which lead thousands of umbrellas swaying and bouncing around during the concert. It was a visual experience to be remembered.

-Watching fans sing along, literally moved to tears as Fun. played their smash hit “We Are Young.” Arguably the anthem of the Millennial generation.
